Mission of the Faculty of Economics in Subotica is to prepare university qualified economists, managers, and business informatics experts for future career, during which they will be able to provide a significant and long-lasting contribution to development of modern society through their capability as leaders, their individuality, through the strength of the accumulated theoretical and practical knowledge and with sensitivity and understanding of both closer and wider surrounding.
Mission of the Faculty of Economics in Subotica can be viewed through the prism of its primary activities, which are focused on research, education, and consulting services. Faculty tries to reach its mission through realisation of basic and applied research as well as through providing research based undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate study programs in economics, management, and business informatics. Excellence, innovation, and uniqueness of educational process are accomplished through academic programs of the highest quality. At the same time, strong ties to the local and international business community further enrich the milieu of research and education. Unity of research and education is the basic principle of Faculties’ activities, while freedom and difference of opinion are its main values. Faculty is the place where theory and practice, traditions and modern ideas meet.
In achieving its mission, Faculty has always opted for four primary permanent values: modern concept of organisations, high quality, and standards in implementation of business process, intensive international cooperation, and close, meaningful connection to all constituents of national surrounding.
Vision of the Faculty of Economics in Subotica is to assure highest position amongst similar institutions in Serbia and the region of South-East and Central Europe and to become recognisable centre of high-quality education, research, and consulting services in the field of economic, management and business informatics. While implementing this vision, the Faculty will create a quality assurance system that will guarantee effective monitoring of existing and development of new study programs, with constant improvement and implementation of new methods and educational tools. Apart from traditional undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate study programs, Faculty will also develop distance studies and other flexible forms and methods for permanent professional development and lifelong learning, which represent the key and most important component in development of knowledge-based society. The aim is to assure essential diversity and competitive advantage through constantly introducing new and attractive multidisciplinary study plans and programs, as well as different courses and seminars.
